Concordia, Westmont stop Geoducks; now a week to rest
How is this for a Friday afternoon – face the No. 8 ranked team in the nation at 1 p.m., then face the No. 26 ranked team immediately after. Not the brightest picture for Evergreen's volleyball team, but the Geoducks ran the gauntlet, and although they dropped a pair of 3-0 matches, the light at the end of the tunnel looks brighter for head coach Bill Lash. "We played really well in the first and third games of both matches," the chief said. "Believe it or not, we controlled the net in both matches, and that is something remarkable for a short team."

Geoducks end losing streak with win over Northwest
It had been almost three years since The Evergreen State College men's soccer program tasted victory. Three days after seeing their head coach released from his contract, the men stuck together and dominated a short-handed Northwest College squad, handing the Eagles a 4-0 victory.
